Students overstaying in US are not welcome |
Under the proposed policy, the unlawful presence days will be computed starting from the day the students failed to maintain their immigration status. The move is important as based on the number of unlawful days, a student can be barred from entering or staying in the US or obtaining permanent residency. |

Tamil Nadu: Woman rescued from 90-ft-deep well near Tirunelveli |
A 29-year-old woman who accidentally fell into an open well at Subbiahpuram village near Alagiyapandiyapuram in Tirunelveli district of Tamil Nadu was rescued by the fire and rescue services personnel with the help of locals on Saturday afternoon. The woman escaped with injuries only in her legs as there was three to five feet deep water in the well. |
