| The Indian government has sought extradition of controversial Islamic preacher Zakir Naik from Malaysia. India has sent a request for Naik’s extradition to Malaysian authorities after NIA completed all formalities including collection of evidence and filing of charge-sheet. A court in Kuala Lumpur is likely to hear India’s request. Malaysia, where Naik has taken refuge, has already said it is ready to extradite him. |
