Facebook chief Mark Zuckerberg has apologised for a huge data privacy scandal through newspaper ads. The full-page apology appeared in nine major British and US newspapers on Sunday. “This was a breach of trust, and I’m sorry we didn’t do more at the time. We’re now taking steps to make sure this doesn’t happen again,” he said. |
Fares in Shatabdi Express trains on sections with low passenger occupancy could be slashed soon. Railways has identified 25 such Shatabdi Express trains in which this scheme could be implemented, an official said. The move to lower fares is encouraged by the success of a pilot project launched on two routes last year. |

UP police carried out a series of encounters in the last 24 hours, neutralising two wanted criminals. One of them was gunned down in Saharanpur when he attempted to flee, after robbing and shooting at a farmer. Another dreaded criminal carrying a reward of Rs 50,000 on his head was shot dead in Noida. UP Police have neutralised 46 dreaded criminals in encounters over the past year. |
