| A Bangladeshi aircraft with 67 passengers and 4 crew members on board crashed killing at least 50 in Kathmandu. The plane, operated by US-Bangla Airlines, was on a flight from Dhaka when it hit an airport fence and burst into flames. Many of the bodies that lay on the tarmac covered by cloth were charred, witnesses said. Thick plumes of smoke could be seen from the aircraft. Read. |

| Maharashtra government has agreed to accept most of the demands of the protesting farmers. Agitating Maharashtra farmers have decided to call off their protest at Mumbai’s Azad Maidan after chief minister Devendra Fadnavis assured them that the government has accepted most of their demands. “We have accepted most of their demands and have given them a written letter,” Maharashtra CM Devendra Fadnavis said. |
| DGCA has ordered grounding of 11 Airbus A-320 Neos aircraft with faulty Pratt engines immediately. Of the grounded Neos, eight planes are with IndiGo and three with GoAir. The regulator has asked the two airlines not to refit these engines (PW1100 engines beyond serial number 450) which are spare with them in their inventory. The move comes hours after yet another incident of engine failure on an A-320 Neo. |
