Star India today bagged IPL media rights for TV and digital broadcast for the next five years. The group completed its virtual monopoly of cricket broadcast by winning the coveted Indian Premier League (IPL) media rights for a whopping 16,347.50 crore. It pipped Sony to acquire the rights from 2018 to 2022.
State-run Oil and Natural Gas Corp is planning to bid for Israeli offshore oil-and-gas exploration blocks. A high-ranking delegation from India visited Israel last month to discuss taking part in the tender for blocks in the Mediterranean Sea and Israeli officials said they were pleased with the visit. “We will definitely bid for Israel’s oil-and-gas blocks,” oil minister Dharmendra Pradhan said.
