The J&K police claimed to have cracked the Amarnath pilgrims attack case from July 10. Ismail, a Pakistani Lashkar terrorist along with two other associates and a local Kashmiri terrorist carried out the attack, IGP (Kashmir) Munir Khan told the media in Srinagar. Three locals who provided logistical support to the group have been arrested, and they revealed all details about the attack. |

China has called on North Korea to halt its missile and nuclear tests, amid growing international pressure. “Do not violate the UN’s decision or provoke international society’s goodwill by conducting missile launching or nuclear tests,” Chinese foreign minister Wang Yi said, during a meeting with his North Korean counterpart at an international gathering in Manila. The UN on Saturday imposed further sanctions on Pyongyang, banning all countries from importing coal, iron, lead and seafood products from North Korea. |
ED has arrested a close aide of Kashmiri separatist Shabir Shah for alleged money laundering. Mohammad Aslam Wani, an alleged hawala dealer, was arrested in connection with a decade-old money laundering case against Shah. He was produced before a Delhi court that sent him to ED custody till August 14. Shah himself was arrested on July 26, and both have been slapped with cases under PMLA. |
