| The government today extended the deadline for filing Income Tax Returns (ITRs) to August 5. It also extended the deadline for linking Aadhaar with the Permanent Account Number (PAN) till August 31.The Central Board of Direct Taxes (CBDT) issued a statement saying the dates have been extended on receipt of complaints from “some taxpayers” that they were unable to log on to the e-filing website of the Income Tax department. The CBDT further said that the returns will not be processed “until the linkage of Aadhaar with PAN is done.” |

The company has now decided to pursue an independent path and is terminating all strategic discussions as a result,” a Snapdeal spokesperson said in a statement. The spokesperson added that the company expects to be financially self-sustainable by selling certain non-core assets. |

| Chinese soldiers entered into Indian territory and threatened shepherds grazing cattle in Uttarakhand’s Chamoli district.
