| US is pulling out of the widely-acclaimed Paris climate change accord. President Trump justified the US withdrawal, saying it was his “solemn duty to protect America and its people”, while claiming that the accord favoured China and India. He added that US will seek to negotiate its way back, or negotiate a new climate deal that is ‘fair’ to America. |
| A trained LeT handler from Pakistan has sneaked in to direct attacks against civilian and military targets, intelligence reports say. The handler, identified as Hanzia Anan could target parts of Srinagar, Vijaypur railway station in Jammu, industrial areas in Samba and Bari Brahmana and the boys’ hostel at Jammu Dental College, among others. Central agencies and police in Punjab and J&K are on alert following the imput. |
