As per the latest trends, the BJP swept the MCD polls by winning 181 wards, the Aam Aadmi Party finished a distant second with 48, followed by the Congress with 30. Following the victory, PM Modi expressed his gratitude to the people of Delhi for reposing faith in the BJP. |

Pakistan has again refused India’s request for consular access to Kulbhushan Jadhav. India had demanded consular access to Kulbhushan Jadhav to launch an appeal against the death sentence given to him by a Pakistani military court. However, Pakistan maintained that Jadhav was a spy and not covered under the bilateral agreement on consular access. |
The University Grants Commission has decided that the CBSE will conduct the National Eligibility Test in July. The CBSE had last year approached the HRD ministry expressing its inability to conduct the exam due to capacity crunch as it was overburdened with other tests. The UGC recently met with HRD officials over the issue and decided that the board will conduct the exam in July without causing any delay. |
