As IMD predicts, India is likely to receive 96% of the Long Period Average rainfall. “Even the distribution of the rainfall is expected to be good this year,” said IMD chief KJ Ramesh. Last year, parts of Tamil Nadu, Karnataka, Kerala reeled under drought-like situation. |

Scotland Yard acted on an extradition warrant requested by India on February 8, as per the Extradition Treaty between India and the UK.
