AIADMK leader VK Sasikala has met 28 visitors on 14 occasions in 31 days at the Bengaluru prison, in violation of rules. A convict is eligible for interviews only once in 15 days with friends, relatives and advocates under the watchful eye of a prison official. Prison sources said, the bending of rules for Sasikala were sanctioned by higher-ups, and she was allowed to meet visitors in a special area, often in private.
