India’s industrial output contracts 0.4% y/y in Dec |
The factory output had risen by 5.7% in Nov, 2016. Earlier, it encountered a (-)0.9% slide in the corresponding month of the previous year. As per the Index of Industrial Production (IIP) data released by the CSO, the contraction was mainly on account of a 2% decline in manufacturing output. |
